Requirement

120 CE points per cycle for the dental CE diploma (ZFD)

Period / cycle

The first ZFD is valid for three years; each further ZFD extends validity by two years (7 years at most). The validity period is printed on the diploma.

Details

Of 75 points, 60 must come from professional dental CE and 15 may come from free CE; up to 20 of the 60 via literature, e-learning or webinars. A further 45 points per cycle for reading journals.

1 CE point equals 45 minutes. Professional dental CE also explicitly includes radiography and radiation protection.

Taking part in the CE programme is voluntary; not taking part does not restrict the right to practise.
