Frequently asked questions

Which countries require CPD for dentists?

Almost all jurisdictions in this table set a CE duty with hours or points per cycle (e.g. UK 100 hours in 5 years, Australia 60 hours in 3 years, Germany 125 points in 5 years for SHI dentists). For Ireland the Dental Council's guide states recommendations; we could not confirm a statutory hour requirement.

How do you verify the data?

We read each rule on the official law text or the regulator's own page or PDF and quote it verbatim with the date read. Facts we could not confirm in an official source are left out.

Why are some countries missing?

We only list a jurisdiction when its official source could be read and states the requirement clearly. France, Italy, the Netherlands, Texas, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and others are not listed yet for that reason.
